Introduction to mental health
In this blog, we will talk about and develop the topic of mental health, for we will also tell you our testimonies to have a deeper point of view on the subject.
To develop the topic of mental health, we first need to know what is mental health:
What's mental health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act as we cope with life. It also helps determine how we handle stress, anxiety, how we relate to others, and how we make decisions.
If I am honest I had not heard the word "mental health" until the middle of last year, I think we all know why, in case you don't know: at the beginning of last year a virus called "covid-19" started forcing us to withdraw from our environment (family, friends, schools, colleges) as we had to be locked in our homes to avoid catching it. This virus not only brought physical but also psychological and mental discomfort; but, before we go on we will know some of the causes that cause us not to have good mental health:
Causes of poor mental health:
- Stress.
- Lack of self-esteem.
- Depression.
- Anxiety.
- Lack of rest.
- Lack of confidence and security.
- Laugh little.
- Lack of fun.
These are some of the causes of poor mental health, some of which may sound insignificant, but over a long period of time, we can see the effect they have.
